Improving the efficiency of roadway excavation is an important task for coal mining enterprises all over the world. In this paper, the cutting path of roadway is studied and improved by using FLAC3D numerical simulation software, which can improve the efficiency and safety of roadway excavation process and alleviate the problem of mining imbalance. The research on roadway excavation has practical significance. Revision is required with the comments attached herewith:

  1. In the third chapter, the location map of measuring point 2 and measuring point 3 needs to be added.
  2. Lines 93, 103-107,135-143,167-174, 188-193, 223-231, 297-310, 344-350, 358-359, 393, 399, it should be used a space between the digit and the unit.
  3. In the chapter 5.1, the name of tunneling equipment in Table 3 should be consistent with the text introduction.
  4. The signature under figure 8-10 should be changed.
  5. Reference 22 and 23 were repeated.
  6. Polish your English by professional organizations.

The manuscript: sustainability-1686328 titled “Research on the optimization of cutting path of Cantilever roadheader in large section excavation roadway”, presents an interesting research study. The manuscript is well written, with Figures being correctly displayed and very informative. Results regarding the cutting path design of roadway driven by cantilever road-header as well as the Industrial experimentality are well discussed in the relevant section. Conclusions and Abstract are balanced, well written, and successfully display the major outlines of this paper.
