This manuscript evaluates the “Experimental research on seismic behavior of haunched concrete beam-column joint based on the bolt connection”. The manuscript is elaborately described and contextualized with the help of previous and present theoretical background. All the references cited are relevant to this area of research. The methods/analytical study are clearly stated. The result and discussion section are clearly presented. The manuscript needs Minor revision and require the following modifications before the acceptance.

The research is interesting but the presentation is narrow, the figures are very small with very small fonts, the conclusions should be improved by adding quantitative results and the introduction should be enchanced in terms of literature review.

Figures from test specimens after and during testing should be included.

The novelty should be explained in introduction.

English language is generally ok but it can be improved in some phrases.

The paper entitled ‘Experimental research on seismic behavior of haunched concrete beam-column joint based on the bolt connection’ aims to assess new type of dry-connection beam-column joint formed by connecting the precast concrete beams installed with steel haunched plates.

Overall, the topic of the paper is interesting. However, the main drawback of the paper is the legibility. It is quite complicated to understand and follow the manuscript mainly at the beginning. This is mainly due to the poor quality of the English level and some grammatical errors and long sentences. Therefore, it is suggested to be reviewed by an English native speaker.

The bibliography is outdated. References of the last 5 years should be included.

The abstract should be re-written, pointing out the novelty of the work and checking the English. The novelty and differences compared to other works are missing. They should be properly discussed in the abstract and in the introduction section.

The method and results are valid but a proper description of the samples considered in the analysis should be provided. It is not clear the range of values considered.

Lines 40-49. The authors state strong arguments without proper justification with past research. For instance, Therefore, in recent years, the bolting connection technique has been paid wide attention by researchers all over the world.

Lines 146 and 147. Vague sentences.
