Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors, Thank you for the opportunity to review your manuscript. You have delivered the current topic, and your orientation on the issue is very good. I may note that your manuscript was prepared precisely. I have only minor recommendations for you:

1.Depersonalize your research completely. Do not use "we, our" at all.

2. Literature review or discussion: I suggest that you add these sources from emerging markets to your manuscript.

Reviewer 2 Report

The paper is interesting however is too long and too theoretical some information can be deleted and some should be written in shorter more practical way.

I propose to delete the whole part about  The structure of the article ….line 98-106

I propose deleting 2.1. Circular economy (CE) – it was described in the introduction and is well known from the literature

Could you please try to create pictures – figures - about the difference between CP and sustainable procurement and green procurement?

3.1. Planning the review – the text can be shorter – 1-2 sentences – why there is not - Our review criteria included all relevant  publications, regardless of publication date – as you show that Industry 4.0 began at 2011

Line 237 - At each stage, from the first identification to the final culling of the pertinent articles, experts were consulted – what kind of experts and why – please be precise.

What I the correlation between Table 1. Main Industry 4.0 technologies and Figure 3 – should be the same – what is the role of presented tab 1 in the methodology?

The paper is too long and to theoretical – I would prefer to rewrite is for a more practical

I propose to delete from line 751 all “the following research questions”…

Please verify all abbreviations :

SCM – abbreviations - should be added  in line 36

CP abbreviations  should be  – line 87

Reviewer 3 Report

The new, rapidly developing field of knowledge – circular procurement – is finding its way into many areas of the economy, especially technology. The assessed article explores professional literature from the last years to identify the data trends and how the industry can benefit from it. The authors defined research question: What is the role of Industry 4.0 technologies in the transition toward circular procurement?, that the article aimed to answer. The question have been correctly formulated and the conclusions obtained from answering it have important implications for practice.
