General comments:
Manuscript ID Sustainability-1949437. Titled "Unexpected changes in the vegetation, soil seed bank and soil properties at bait sites in a protected area of Central European lower montane zone " for publication in Sustainability.

This paper’s topic is interesting but authors have to proofread the manuscript and improve the English and remove grammar mistakes. The referencing inside the manuscript needs to be corrected in many places and authors must add new references. The abstract should be improved by adding quantitative results. The introduction is poorly written, need improvements. Also conclusion parts should be revised with possible suggestions for Governments departments and future researchers.

Specific comments:

1.      Title is not representing the research results. Title should be modified/revised.

2.      Abstract should be revised by adding quantitative data/results.

3.      Basically it is study of a local area at small level, please include in Introduction section, what will be benefits of your research results on country level or globally.

4.      Please include GPS points of all sampling sites in table form in Material and Methods section.

5.      Also include Map of the study area showing sampling sites.

6.      Please give Quality Assurance measures in detail adopted in lab and during analysis work in Material and Method section.

7.      In Discussion Part, authors must add connection of anthropogenic activities, human activities and animal activities in detail.

8.      The authors should include some recent published work in results and discussion part. Also compare the results with other studies already done on this topic.

9.      Authors must add Novelty and innovation in Conclusion section.
