The Impact Factors of Industry 4.0 on ESG in the Energy Sector
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
I believe the current research is trying to deal with relevant and important issues. I enjoyed reading the paper a lot. This research provides insightful implications for the digital transformation on ESG in the energy sector.
I have some minor suggestions.
First, please try to consider changing keywords. I think “Industry 4.0, ESG, Energy sector, Digital transformation, Sustainable development” are more relevant as keywords.
Second, please consider adding a description for MSCI at the 75 line. It can be MSCI (Morgan Stanley Capital International).
Third, please try to consider changing “Review of related literature” at line 150 to “2. Theoretical Background”.
Fourth, please try to state more clearly the theoretical implications and practical implications at 4. Conclusions.
Lastly, please take a look at spelling and space carefully and correct them accordingly. For example, please correct vari-ous, ener-gy, ad-dresses, generat-ing, or-ganization, materi-alistic, ecologi-cal, indi-viduals, and so on at lines 29, 30, 35, 46, 51, 53, 54 and 55.
Also, please correct table numbering. Table 6 at line 345 should be Table 4, Table 4 at line 353 should be Table 5, Table 7 at line 388 should be Table 6 and, Table 5 at line 399 should be Table 7. With that, Table 6 at line 309 should be Table 4. And Table 7 at line 355 should be Table 6.
Thank you very much for the authors' efforts.

Reviewer 2 Report
Dear authors,
your article is interesting for the reader, well structured and meets the scope of the journal Sustainability. In my opinion, it contributes to the existing theory by developing a conceptual model that illustrates the relationship between digital transformations and the sustainable development of the energy sector. The abstract is clearly written and presents correctly and synthetically the subject addressed in this paper. Among the strengths of the article are the statistical methods used in paper appropriately to enhance the research. The English language quality and style of this paper are appropriate and understandable. However, some minor formal changes required are as follows:
line 99-misspelling error: Correspondingly
line 150 Review of related literature -move the subtitle to the next page, please
An opportunity to improve the article is to expand the conclusion, where the authors can consider using other published studies to compare and verify their findings, articles that consider the following concepts that are related to your conclusions e.g. differences in implementation of sustainability /environmental concepts in the energy industry and factor affecting the process (https://doi.org/10.3390/en14237965); paper where the authors conclude that there is a moderately significant relationship between the industry sector and renewable energy technology and analysis how enterprises perceive Industry 4.0 technologies in the context of sustainability(DOI: 10.3390/en15103697); energy and sustainability in a selected company (https://doi.org/10.1177/2277977915596240)
Overall evaluation:
I recommend publishing the article with minor changes in the journal Sustainability.
