COVID-19 Misinformation in Portuguese-Speaking Countries: Agreement with Content and Associated Factors
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Thank you for the interesting article highlighting how poor/wrong information about the COVID19 epidemic can influence the perception, understanding and health behavior of the population. One point not mentioned in the article is the politicization of the epidemic, particularly in the Portuguese-speaking countries, and how it harms public health. As you are aware, an important part of the misinformation identified is likely to be generated by activists supporting one or other political perspective. I suggest including a brief reference to this point.

This article is an impressive effort in clarifying and studying a very relevant subject, with an excellent state of the art. The most relevant merit of this proposal is the methods used, appropriate, well explained and developed. All the other parts are perfectly explained and balanced, with inclusion of ethical aspects. Thec omparative perpective is also of special relevance.
