Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

I consider this manuscript suitable for publication in Viruses in present form; I would just like to ask the authors to address the following minor issue:

  • Line 283: please put the letters (a, b, c and d) under in the same position under each respective image.

Author Response

We thank the reviewer for noticing our error. This was a problem that appeared during the conversion of MS-WORD version of the manuscript to the pdf version. We corrected it in the editing mode, as requested. An additional change in the manuscript is in the legend to Figure 9. We added at the end of this legend the reference to Table S6, so that the readers can easily find data supporting the data in this Figure.

Reviewer 2 Report

The manuscript entitled ‘Three novel bacteriophages, J5a, F16Ba, and z1a, specific for Bacillus anthracis, define a new clade of historical Wbeta phage relatives’ by Aleksandra Nakonieczna 1,*, Paweł Rutyna 1, Magdalena Fedorowicz 1, Magdalena Kwiatek 1, Lidia Mizak 1 and Małgorzata Łobocka 2,* describes three new bacteriophages that can work against Bacillus anthracis, a highly lethal bacterial strain. I would like to accept the paper in the given form as it is well researched and decently presented. I had a good time reading the paper.

Author Response

We thank the reviewer for the evaluation of our manuscript. In the revised version we only corrected the positions of a,b,c, and d in Figure 5 (L. 283), and added the reference to Table S6 in the legend to Figure 9, so thta the reader can easily find data supporting the data in this Figure.
