Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The article presents a technique for measuring apparent power based on the characteristics of power line losses. The experiment proved the possibility of using the proposed technique. The authors developed a physical model that implements the possibility of measuring apparent power. The article is written at a sufficient scientific level, corresponding to the level of the Energies journal. To improve the quality of the article, the following directions were identified:

1. The authors should significantly expand the review of existing studies, identifying their advantages, disadvantages, and justify the need to develop a new technique.
2. The conclusions should include numerical results of the study, as well as directions for future work.
3. It is necessary to describe in more detail each component from the diagram shown in Figure 9.
4. Can the apparent power be measured during transient processes?

Comments and Suggestions for Authors
  1. Figure (1) was not mentioned in the text.
  2. Make sure that all equations and correctly referenced with nomenclature.
  3. Please make sure that all references are cited properly according to MDPI format
  4. Regarding the traceability approach, it is noted that authors have studied and conducted their work based on specific types of meters, would be please elaborate results if other technologies with other designs were employed
  5. Please elaborate in your discissions some future prospects for non-linear loads
