Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The present study is designed and conducted well. The study goal is clear, the results are reliable based on methodology according to the study, and the discussion is well-balanced. I recommend this paper to be published without any revision.

Author Response

We thank the reviewer for his supportive report

Reviewer 2 Report

This is an interesting study with interesting results, although they are suggestive of an association and require more investigation: this has been acknowledged by the authors. When reading the results I immediately considered the protective effects of farm milk for asthma and am glad that the authors spent time discussing this. The results against OCRD are not so strong but as the authors point out they are consistent in their direction. Although it is a matter of semantics I would use the word 'suggestive' rather than 'supportive' on line 29 of page 11. Other than that I am comfortable with the way the study was conducted and the results interpreted

Author Response

We thank the reviewer and have, as suggested, replaced 'supportive' by 'suggestive'
