Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The authors have prepared a high-quality overview of issues related to sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity and intervention approaches in the fight against them. In the manuscript, I am missing a part (perhaps in the introduction) where statistical overviews of the incidence and prevalence of sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity in the population in general, as well as in different population groups, would be summarized. Today, sarcopenia and sarcopenic obesity are not just a matter of old or sick people.

I recommend the authors to modify the title of chapter 3 - the title should accurately describe the content.

Line 181-182 - specify the Western diet in more detail.

Line 334-335 - describe the cited study more extensively.

Reviewer 2 Report

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

This great review examines both nutritional supplements and entire dietary interventions in sarcopenic obesity. Although not overly long, the text is very informative. I have some remarks:

A figure could be added to better explain section 2, showing the molecular pathways involved in SO.

A table could be added with the necessary recommended daily dose ranges of both macro- and micronutrients (overriding sections 5 and 6).
