My experience with MDPI is very positive, as author, Guest Editor, Topic Board Member, and reviewer, due to the speed of the responses and processing, the nice service provided by the editorial staff, and the open access policy of the journal. In my personal experiences as S.I. Guest Editor, I had difficulty recruiting authors who accepted the invitation to publish by paying an article processing charge.
