Simultaneous transmit and receive wireless communications have been highlighted for their potential to double the spectral efficiency. However, it is necessary to mitigate self-interference (SI). Considering both the SI channel and remote transmission (RT) channel need to be estimated before equalizing the received signal, we propose two adaptive algorithms for linear and nonlinear self-interference cancellation (SIC), based on a multi-layered joint channel estimator structure. The proposed algorithms estimate the RT channel while performing SIC, and the multi-layered structure ensures improved performance across various interference-to-signal ratios. The M-estimate function enhances the robustness of the algorithm, allowing it to converge even when affected by impulsive noise. For nonlinear SIC, this paper introduces an adaptive algorithm based on generalized Hammerstein polynomial basis functions. The simulation results indicate that this approach achieves a better convergence speed and normalized mean squared difference compared to existing SIC methods, leading to a lower system bit error rate. Overlapped Time Domain Multiplexing (OvTDM) is a high-rate transmission technology that employs the idea of superposition coded modulation (SCM) scheme for signal generation, aiming to achieve maximum channel capacity sharing. Meanwhile, it is also widely considered as a promising technique toward physical layer security. As a main drawback of such system, a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) issue in this system, arising from multi-layer superposition, can be addressed through intentional clipping. However, the detection at the receiver side is vulnerable to nonlinear distortion caused by clipping, which can degrade the performance. To mitigate this distortion, this paper proposed an iterative scheme for estimating and partially canceling clipping distortion at the receiver. We managed to mitigate the impact of clipping noise as much as possible and minimize the cost of optimizing PAPR, thereby improving the transmission performance of OvTDM in the context of amplitude clipping. Moving targets are usually smeared and imaged at incorrect positions in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images due to the target motions during the illumination time. Moreover, a moving target will cause multiple artifacts in the reconstructed image since pulse repetition frequency (PRF) operated in high-resolution wide-swath (HRWS) SAR is very low. In order to reliably indicate moving targets, a robust cancellation algorithm is derived in this paper for clutter suppression in multichannel HRWS SAR, which is free by velocity searching and covariance matrix estimation of clutter plus noise. The proposed multilayer channel-cancellation combined with the deramp processing is designed to sequentially suppress the seriously aliased clutter in HRWS SAR. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is efficient and robust in tough situations, and have a superior detection ability in weak targets and low-velocity targets. In addition, the radial velocity estimation algorithm combined with the channel cancellation is exploited to relocate moving targets. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithms is validated by actual spaceborne SAR data acquired by a coordination experiment with two controllable vehicles. Full article
