Planning a low-detectability route for a fixed-wing UAV in mountainous environments with radar-based sensing constraints remains highly challenging. Conventional approaches struggle to simultaneously ensure both path quality and operational safety. To address this problem, this paper proposes a two-layer planning framework in which a Risk-A* algorithm provides a global reference route, while a model predictive control (MPC) scheme performs online receding-horizon trajectory optimization. The proposed method combines prior radar-platform information with time-varying detection-risk cues to generate terrain-masked and detection-feasible trajectories. In this study, the framework is instantiated and evaluated on a representative fixed-wing medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) UAV, where “medium-altitude” denotes the platform class rather than the flight altitude maintained during the low-altitude flight segment. As a result, the UAV can complete the entire flight while reducing the detection-risk metric and overall planning cost. Simulation results on two DEM-based mountainous terrain zones, with one nominal start-goal pair specified in each terrain zone and 50 repeated executions conducted for each scenario, demonstrate that the Risk-A*-MPC framework may yield slightly longer paths and flight times; however, it consistently satisfies the no detection-threshold-exceedance requirement under the tested conditions. In the two main terrain-zone scenarios, the recorded maximum MPC solve time was 0.812 s, which remained below the 3 s control update period and supports the real-time executability of the online MPC layer on the tested computational platform. A lightweight and high-efficiency microwave-absorbing material was developed via an in situ solvothermal pyrolysis strategy by anchoring sphere-like Fe3O4 nanostructures onto bamboo-derived porous carbon (BPC). The resulting composites preserve the intrinsic anisotropic honeycomb architecture of bamboo while introducing uniformly distributed magnetic nanoparticles, enabling synergistic dielectric–magnetic loss. Electromagnetic parameters, alongside impedance matching, were successfully modulated through the optimization of precursor concentrations. Of the evaluated materials, BPC-0.9 stood out for its intense attenuation, recording an RLmin of −45.17 dB at a 1.8 mm thickness. Furthermore, a significant effective absorption bandwidth of 6.65 GHz was attained by the BPC-0.6 sample at only 2.2 mm. Several factors contribute to the boosted efficiency, starting with conductive and interfacial polarization losses paired with multiple scattering events. Furthermore, magnetic loss components, encompassing eddy current effects as well as natural and exchange resonances, play a pivotal role in optimizing the material’s response. Furthermore, radar cross-section (RCS) modeling reveals a substantial reduction of 19.9 dB·m2, verifying the material’s viability for real-world stealth technologies. Our findings offer a straightforward methodology for fabricating magnetic carbon structures from biomass with adjustable dielectric responses, underscoring their potential in high-performance energy conversion and low-density microwave absorption. With the popularization of wireless communication, radar, and electronic devices, the hidden harm of electromagnetic radiation is becoming increasingly serious. The design of green biomass carbon-based interface heterojunctions based on lightweight porous materials can effectively protect against electromagnetic radiation hazards. In this work, we constructed an anisotropic heterojunction interface with magnetic and dielectric coupling based on a honeycomb-like periodic matrix multi-layer array repeating unit. The removal of lignin components from bamboo through oxidation enriches the impregnation pores and uniform adsorption sites of the magnetic medium. Further, in situ pyrolysis promotes the formation of a large number of electric dipoles at the interface between the magnetic medium and dielectric coupling inside the periodic cell carbon skeleton, enhancing interface polarization and relaxation. Local carrier traps and uneven electromagnetic density enhance dielectric and hysteresis losses, resulting in excellent impedance matching. Therefore, the obtained bamboo-based carbon multiphase composite absorbent has satisfactory electromagnetic loss characteristics. At a thickness of 1.55 mm, the effective absorption bandwidth reaches 5.1 GHz, and the minimum reflection loss (RL) value reaches −54.7 dB. In addition, the far-field radar simulation results show that the sample has an excellent RCS (radar cross-section) reduction of 33.3 dB·m2. This work provides new directions for the diversified development of green biomass and the optimization of the design of magnetic and dielectric coupling in periodic array structures. Full article

To address the challenges posed by composite targets composed of an anisotropic medium and metal in electromagnetic (EM) scattering calculations, this paper introduces an innovative hybrid algorithm tailored for simulating the EM scattering characteristics of such complex targets. Utilizing impedance boundary condition (IBC), the method employs surface impedance vectors to precisely depict the EM properties of the medium. By harnessing the distinct advantages of the Method of Moments (MoMs) at low frequency and Physical Optics (POs) at high frequency, the algorithm ensures both accuracy and efficiency in the EM simulation of composite targets. By transforming the EM scattering problem of targets coated with a thin-layered medium into an equivalent radiation problem of EM currents on impedance surfaces, this research has achieved rapid and high-precision calculations of the Radar Cross Section (RCS) for complex targets with anisotropic medium coatings. To assess the performance of the algorithm, three target models—square plates, simplified aircraft, and complex satellites—are selected as test cases. The dual metrics of RCS and surface current distribution are utilized as evaluation benchmarks, and comparisons are made against the Method of Moments–Finite Element Method (MoM-FEM) hybrid numerical method. The comparative results demonstrate that the proposed method meets the engineering standards in terms of both the root mean square error (RMSE) of RCS and the relative error in surface current distribution, while also achieving a significant improvement of over 50% in computational efficiency, thereby validating its superior accuracy and practical utility.
