Development of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Web Application (Psychosocial Rehab App)

Introduction: Few applications worldwide focus on psychosocial rehabilitation, and none specifically address psychosocial rehabilitation projects. This justifies the need for an application to assist mental health professionals in constructing and managing such projects in the Brazilian mental health scenario. Objective: This study aimed to present a web application, the “Psychosocial Rehabilitation Application” (Psychosocial Rehab App), and describe its development in detail through a technological survey conducted between May 2024 and February 2025. Method: The development process of the web app was carried out in the following four stages, adapted from the Novak method: theoretical basis, requirements survey, prototyping, and development with alpha testing. The active and collaborative participation of the main researcher (a psychiatric nurse) and two undergraduate software engineers, supervised by a software engineer and a professor of nursing and psychology, was essential for producing a suitable operational product available to mental health professionals. Interactions were conducted via video calls, WhatsApp, and email. These interactions were transcribed using the Transkriptor software and inserted into the ATLAS.ti software for thematic analysis. Results: The web app “Psychosocial Rehabilitation Application” displays a home screen for registration and other screens structured into the stages of the psychosocial rehabilitation project (assessment, diagnosis, goals, intervention, agreements, and re-assessment). It also has a home screen, a resource screen, and a function screen with options to add a new project, search for a project, or search for mental health support services. These features facilitate the operation and streamline psychosocial rehabilitation projects by mental health professionals. Thematic analysis revealed three themes and seven codes describing the entire development process and interactions among participants in collaborative, interrelational work. A collaborative approach between researchers and developers was essential for translating the complexity of the psychosocial rehabilitation project into practical and usable functionalities for future users, who will be mental health professionals. Discussion: The Psychosocial Rehab App was developed collaboratively by mental health professionals and developers. It supports the creation of structured rehabilitation projects, improving decision-making and documentation. Designed for clinical use, the app promotes autonomy and recovery by aligning technology with psychosocial rehabilitation theory and the actual needs of mental health services. Conclusions: The Psychosocial Rehab App was developed through collaborative work between mental health and technology professionals. The lead researcher mediated this process to ensure that the app’s functionalities reflected both technical feasibility and therapeutic goals. Empathy and dialog were key to translating complex clinical needs into usable and context-appropriate technological solutions. Full article

This study employs text mining techniques to conduct a systematic quantitative analysis of cybersecurity-related scientific publications and technological research. It aims to break through the limitations of traditional unidirectional evolutionary research, reveal the knowledge evolution rules between scientific theories and technical practices in this field, and provide valuable references and decision-making support for optimizing the collaborative innovation ecosystem. Firstly, we took academic papers and patent research on cybersecurity from 2005 to 2024 as the research objects and divided them into ten stages according to the time series. Subsequently, we identified scientific and technological topics and formed science–technology topics to assess their similarity. Then, we selected 3040 pairs of collaborative topic pairs and categorized them into three distinct groups: weak, moderate, and strong correlation. Finally, we constructed a science–technology topic association evolution atlas and analyzed the types of evolutionary pathways of topic associations and their mechanisms of action accordingly. The results demonstrate five evolutionary patterns in science–technology topic associations: division, merging, inheritance, co-occurrence, and independent development. Additionally, the science–technology topics demonstrate a high degree of collaboration, exhibiting a collaborative effect of “initial accumulation–fluctuating differentiation–deep collaboration”. Meanwhile, the correlation evolution of strongly related science–technology topics presents a symmetrical effect of “technology–science–technology” and “science–technology/technology–science”. Timing measurements are critical for the detectors at the future HL-LHC, to resolve reconstruction ambiguity when the number of simultaneous interactions reaches up to 200 per bunch crossing. The ATLAS collaboration therefore builds a new High-Granularity Timing detector for the forward region. A customized ASIC, called ALTIROC, has been developed, to read out fast signals from low-gain avalanche detectors (LGADs), which has 50 ps time-resolution for signals from minimum-ionizing particles. To meet these requirements, a custom-designed pre-amplifier, a discriminator, and TDC circuits with minimal jitter have been implemented in a series of prototype ASICs. The latest version, ALTIROC3, is designed to contain full functionality. Hybrid assemblies with ALTIROC3 ASICs and LGAD sensors have been characterized with charged-particle beams at CERN-SPS and with laser-light injection. The time-jitter contributions of the sensor, pre-amplifier, discriminator, TDC, and digital readout are evaluated. Full article

Although photon–photon scattering does not exist at the tree level, this is no longer the case at loop order and was first calculated by Euler and Heisenberg. The existence of this phenomenon has now been confirmed experimentally by the ATLAS collaboration and plays a small but important role in the calculation of gμ-2. We show how the low-energy form of the γγ scattering amplitude can be determined via causal (on-shell) methods using Compton scattering helicity amplitudes as input for the case of charged S = 0, S = 1/2, and S = 1 intermediate state fields. Background: The existing literature often oversimplifies the complex relationship between religion and Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health (AYSRH), particularly regarding church-based interventions. This study aimed to investigate the nature and implementation strategies of church AYSRH programmes within their belief systems to inform effective programme development. Methodology: An interpretive descriptive design was employed. Data were collected in the Vaal Triangle region of South Africa (Vanderbijlpark, Vereeniging, and Sasolburg) between August 2019 and February 2020. In-depth interviews were conducted with pastors, government officials, and school principals. Focus group discussions were held with parent and youth church groups alongside youth groups from Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges. Data were analyzed using Atlas.ti v.23. Results: Church-based AYSRH interventions primarily emphasize information provision and abstinence until marriage, aligned with prevailing moral values. These interventions are delivered through integration into existing church programmes and collaborations with external stakeholders for specialized areas like contraception. Limitations identified included ineffectiveness, superficiality, impracticality, tensions between religious doctrine and lived realities, a reductionist focus, a singular information-sharing approach, and limited pastor understanding and openness regarding AYSRH. Conclusions: Churches possess valuable communication platforms and partnerships that could be leveraged for AYSRH interventions. However, this study highlights a one-sided focus on church teachings and significant tensions between idealized approaches and practical implementation, raising critical questions about the overall efficacy of church-led AYSRH projects. This research validates prior findings on church-based AYSRH interventions while offering nuanced insights and heuristic perspectives for a more comprehensive and less simplistic understanding of church-driven AYSRH services. Communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity are core 21st century skills. Meanwhile, educational robotics is regarded as a contributor to their promotion. Hence, education tries to embrace them in school curricula. Yet, there is a lack of reviews in the existing literature presenting the robotics activities used to promote children’s communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking from an early age. Consequently, this study employed a thematic literature review aiming to 1. map the research field of robotics activities suitable for promoting kindergarteners’ skills, 2. facilitate researchers and teachers in their current and future work related to robotics, and 3. provide guidelines and a model flow related to robotics activities for supporting educators in integrating them into their school reality. The PRISMA Flow Diagram and the Atlas.ti software were used to investigate the Scopus database and the Taylor and Francis register. Finally, 16 papers were examined out of 349 initially retrieved and published from 2014 to 2025. Based on our findings, a few interventions have been aimed at fostering kindergarteners’ communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking via educational robotics, but there is rarely a clear record of robotics activities achieving that. Moreover, there is no specific model or guideline for developing such activities in kindergarten. Full article

The contamination of the Lower Danube Basin with trace elements has been the subject of intense study in recent years, with several pollution indices being employed for the assessment of water, soil, and sediment quality. Most pollution indices are calculated by comparing the measured concentration to a reference value, with different values from various sources being used. In this study, the threshold values for trace elements (As, Cd, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb, and Zn) in Romania were selected based on the median of their concentration in stream sediment from 167 locations, which were carefully selected to be far from contamination sources. The threshold values were established based on a calculation starting from the geochemical concentration presented in the Geochemical Atlas of Romania (scale: 1:3,000,000, developed in 2006 by a collaborative Romanian-German team). By using these thresholds, pollution indices were calculated for nine sampling locations, from which suspended sediment, bottom sediment, and active floodplain sediment samples were collected and analyzed in an accredited laboratory. Most of the selected thresholds were found to be below the limits for sediments established by Romanian legislation, except for Cr and Ni, the higher values of which are consistent with the specific geological background of the country and the broader Balkan region. Intelligent construction, as a crucial driving force for the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry, is currently reshaping the production processes and management models throughout the entire life cycle of buildings. Nevertheless, construction enterprises are confronted with issues, such as great difficulties in system integration, complexity in multi-field collaboration, mismatch of technological requirements, and disharmony between standards and management processes during the process of promoting intelligent construction, which have restricted its in-depth application. This paper adopts a combination of questionnaire surveys and text mining methods to accurately gain insights into the actual situation of the application of intelligent construction in Chinese corporations. Cite Space is utilized to conduct keyword co-occurrence and clustering analyses and to construct the correlation atlas of the intelligent construction system, which are used to conduct in-depth analyses of its development trends and internal correlations. The research results demonstrate that aspects, such as building information modeling (BIM), smart construction sites, intelligent equipment, and prefabricated construction, exhibit significant development trends in the field of intelligent construction. Moreover, the precise matching between technology and the business needs of enterprises is of vital importance for the efficient implementation of intelligent construction. This research provides clear technological and management paths for intelligent construction in Chinese corporations, aiming to promote the standardization process of intelligent construction for enterprises and the industry and to facilitate the digital transformation and upgrading of the construction industry. Water availability is an important aspect of life. With the increasing number of humans with the same water cycle, it is possible that water scarcity will occur, including in Bandung City, especially in Jatisari Village, Buahbatu District. Public awareness and regulation of water use are required. This study aims to analyze the influence of environmental communication on community behavior with the intervening variable of cognitive dissonance in household water use in Jatisari Village; explore environmental communication carried out and what the obstacles are; and also explore the scope of water policies in Bandung City. This study uses a mixed method with analysis using SPSS 25 and ATLAS.ti 23.1. The results of the Sobel test showed that the mediation coefficient of 0.0288 was significant, which means that cognitive dissonance has significant mediating influence in the relationship between environmental communication and perceptions for behavioral change. Meanwhile, environmental communication in Bandung City Government and non-Bandung City Government to maintain the sustainability of water has shown collaboration involving various stakeholders. Although there is much progress, there are still obstacles that need to be overcome, especially in coordination between actors and increasing public awareness. Also, six policies on water were found but showed that there is no policy that specifically regulates water conservation, water distribution, and limits on water use to support water availability. This is likely due to the absence of parameters that can convince the government to make policies on water conservation, for example, through the Water Scarcity Assessment Index. Full article

Background/Objectives: School nursing is a nursing practice focused on promoting child health within the school and community environment, integrating healthcare with the educational process. The aim was to explore the experiences of nurses and teachers regarding the implementation of a school nursing pilot programme in primary education in the Canary Islands (Spain). Methods: A phenomenological study was conducted during the 2023/2024 academic year. In-depth interviews were conducted between May and June 2024 until data saturation was achieved. The interviews were transcribed and analysed using descriptive and interpretative thematic analysis. Intentional and co-occurrence coding methods were employed, followed by triangulation using Atlas-Ti software (version 24). Ethical approval was obtained (code: 2023-216-1). Results: A total of 21 informants (7 nurses and 14 teachers) were interviewed. Nurses revealed eight subthemes grouped into two main themes: Role of School Nurses (workload, school nurses’ experiences, career opportunities, and the school nurse profile) and School Nursing Project (suggested improvements, identified weaknesses, time management, and improvement needs). Regarding teachers, six subthemes were identified, also grouped into two main themes: Role of School Nurses (approach to school nursing and the importance of the presence of school nurses) and School Nursing Project (expectations, improving children’s health, school health, and experiences from the pilot programme). Conclusions: The pilot programme has been well received, showing a positive impact on students’ health. While successfully integrating nurses into schools, improvements are needed in working conditions, resource allocation, and specialized training to enhance its effectiveness and sustainability. Strengthening inter-professional collaboration between healthcare and education sectors and involving teachers in planning health activities are essential. Expanding the coverage and ensuring a consistent presence of school nurses would further build trust, improve chronic health management, and promote healthy habits from an early age. This programme illustrates the potential of nurses to transform schools into spaces for comprehensive health promotion. Full article

Physical inactivity among undergraduate university students has been considered a public health concern. To address this, researchers have utilized consensus workshop approaches to develop effective physical activity (PA) recommendations. However, the existing research has limitations: it is outdated, not context-specific to young adults, and does not account for psychosocial factors (such as mental health, motivation, and social support) that hinder or promote PA behavior, particularly in South Africa. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to engage with stakeholders to achieve a consensus on a set of context-specific guidelines to enhance the physical activities of undergraduate university students. Utilizing the Social Ecological Model, this study employed two online consensus workshops with 25 purposively selected stakeholders (Round 1 = 8 and Round 2 = 17). Stakeholders were divided into breakout rooms via the Google Meets feature, to discuss and brainstorm the guidelines, expressing their agreement or disagreement with the proposed names and descriptions. The consensus was considered achieved when the majority of stakeholder responses fell into the ‘Agree with the guideline’ category. An inductive thematic analysis approach was used to generate common themes, which were then coded via Atlas Ti. V8. Stakeholders reached a consensus on four categories and 32 guidelines, namely, PA (9 guidelines), mental health (7 guidelines), motivation (9 guidelines), and social support (7 guidelines). Each category, along with its respective set of guidelines, provides insights into the type of information undergraduate students require to enhance their PA participation. Using a consensus workshop facilitated the co-creation of context-specific guidelines to enhance the physical activities of undergraduate university students. This approach proved to be a valuable tool for fostering collaboration between academic staff and students. Full article

The High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) project aims to improve the performance of the LHC by increasing the proton–proton collision luminosity. New physics discoveries will be possible starting in 2027. The HL-LHC aims to improve the integrated luminosity by a factor of 10 concerning the current running LHC’s design value. The HL-LHC project foresees delivering proton–proton collisions at 14 TeV CM (Center of Mass) energy providing the integrated luminosity to a value of 3 ab−1 for the ATLAS and CMS experiments, 50 fb−1 for LHCb, and 5 fb−1 for ALICE. The increased integrated luminosity for the above LHC experiments will provide the potential to discover rare processes while improving these measurements’ signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio statistics. The ATLAS muon spectrometer has been upgraded to face the challenges of the luminosity at the HL-LHC run. The new sub-detectors are as follows: The New Small Wheel (NSW) has replaced the Cathode Strip Chambers (CSC) discs at the internal part of the ATLAS end cups. The new integrated small Monitored Drift Chambers (sMDT) with the Resistive Plate Chambers (RPC) are installed at the outer end of the ATLAS BI (Barrel Inner) layer, in the barrel–endcap transition region, at 1.0 < |η| < 1.3, where η is the pseudo-rapidity (pseudo-rapidity η is a commonly used spatial coordinate describing the angle of a particle relative to the beam axis, defined as η=lntanθ2, where θ is the angle between the vector momentum p and the positive direction of the beam axis). The NSW is an innovative technological achievement, including the MicroMegas (MM) gas detectors in large areas and small-strip Thin Gap Chambers (sTGC), enabling high pT (high pT is the high value of the particles’ transverse momentum versus the beam collision axis) trigger and muon detection. The muon reconstruction, the background rate, other spectrometer parameters, and the NSW performance are also presented. Full article

Radiation damage significantly impacts the performance of silicon tracking detectors in Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiments such as ATLAS and CMS, with signal reduction being the most critical effect; adjusting sensor bias voltage and detection thresholds can help mitigate these effects, generating simulated data that accurately mirror the performance evolution with the accumulation of luminosity, hence fluence, is crucial. The ATLAS and CMS collaborations have developed and implemented algorithms to correct simulated Monte Carlo (MC) events for radiation damage effects, achieving impressive agreement between collision data and simulated events. In preparation for the high-luminosity phase (HL-LHC), the demand for a faster ATLAS MC production algorithm becomes imperative due to escalating collision, events, tracks, and particle hit rates, imposing stringent constraints on available computing resources. This article outlines the philosophy behind the new algorithm, its implementation strategy, and the essential components involved. The results from closure tests indicate that the events simulated using the new algorithm agree with fully simulated events at the level of few %. The first tests on computing performance show that the new algorithm is as fast as it is when no radiation damage corrections are applied. Full article

Young people with borderline intelligence functioning (BIF) have intellectual functioning at the border between intellectual disability and those considered neurotypical. This population group is often underrepresented in social research, which makes it difficult to understand their experiences and needs. The research aims to understand the daily lives of young people with BIF to identify needs that society might not be aware of. The study was conducted with a sample of 30 young people. The ethnomethodological design was appropriate for the study of the routines and daily dynamics of these young people, which allowed the researchers to understand the experiences and meanings of the participants from their own perspective. The analysis was carried out in the context of the subject of Qualitative Research Tools in Social Work with fourth-year students, through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and field diaries. Data analysis was performed using the Atlas.ti23 qualitative content analysis program. The findings suggest a strong dependence on family and social support; a daily life marked by challenges; and a search for autonomy, among many other aspects. Collaboration with the participants allowed the researchers to better understand their experiences and needs from reflexivity. Full article

The chief goal of the Blood Profiling Atlas in Cancer (BloodPAC) consortium is to promote collaborative efforts that support the development and implementation of liquid biopsy tests. Here, we report the results of a pilot study conducted by three BloodPAC members that aimed to demonstrate a multisite liquid biopsy testing framework using longitudinal blood specimens from 38 patients with metastatic breast cancer. Three laboratories receiving identical samples from two clinical sites each applied a different targeted sequencing platform to analyze mutations in cell-free DNA (cfDNA). The resulting mutational profiles reflected common breast cancer alterations, including clinically actionable mutations for 40% of hormone- receptor-positive patients. In 12 genes with shared target regions across sequencing panels, perfect inter-assay concordance was also observed for mutations detected above the lowest common assay limit of detection. Whole-genome copy number profiling of cfDNA and circulating tumor cells (CTCs) further revealed marked heterogeneity in copy number alterations and cfDNA tumor fractions across patients. Additionally, comparison of tumor fraction and CTC abundance demonstrated the complementary nature of cfDNA and CTC analyses. Overall, the framework described in this study may serve as a resource for future trials aiming to identify multimodal liquid biopsy biomarkers to guide clinical care. Full article
