Tropical Medicine and Infectious Disease | Five New Sections Established

The Tropical Medicine and Infectious Disease (TropicalMed, ISSN 2414-6366) editorial team is pleased to announce the launch of five new Sections: “Infectious Diseases”, “Neglected and Emerging Tropical Diseases”, “One Health”, “Travel Medicine” and “Vector-Borne Diseases”. These Sections will expand the scope and Editorial Board of TropicalMed to cover areas that are less well represented by the current team. If you are interested in this position or know of potential candidates to recommend, please contact us.

Additionally, the following Special Issues of each Section are currently open for submissions:

Section “Infectious Diseases”:

“Control of Viral Hepatitis” (Deadline: 15 May 2022);
“Harnessing the Power of Data and Technology to Improve Infectious Disease Control” (Deadline: 15 July 2022);
“Assessing, Understanding and Mitigating the Impact of COVID-19 on TB Prevention, Care and Control” (Deadline: 31 July 2022).

Section “Neglected and Emerging Tropical Diseases”:

“Neglected Diseases and Human Rights” (Deadline: 10 May 2022);

Section “One Health”:

“Operational Research and Capacity Building to Strengthen Health Systems for Tackling Public Health Emergencies” (Deadline: 23 April 2022);
“Persistence of Antimicrobial Resistance in the Environment and Implications for Global Public Health” (Deadline: 30 June 2022);
“Geospatial Health (GeoHealth): Current Trends, Methods, and Applications” (Deadline: 14 July 2022).

Section “Travel Medicine”:

“Advances in Travel Medicine—Emerging Infectious Diseases” (Deadline: 30 June 2022);
“Contemporary Migrant Health” (Deadline: 31 August 2022).

Section “Vector-Borne Diseases”:

“Forecasting Vector-Borne Diseases” (Deadline: 30 May 2022);
“Advances in Vector-Borne Diseases: Celebrating the First Impact Factor of TMID and in Memory of Sir Patrick Manson” (1844-1922) (Deadline: 31 July 2022);
“Public Health Advances in Vector-Borne Diseases” (Deadline: 31 July 2022).
