Society Collaboration

The Fédération des Ingénieurs des Télécommunications de la Communauté Européenne (‘FITCE’) has over 60 years of experience in dealing with the needs of ICT and media industry with the aim to exchange views and gain insights into new developments and challenges related to technical, regulatory, societal and economical aspects of these scientific areas. Today, FITCE (www.fitce.eu) has member associations in nine European countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxemburg, Poland and the United Kingdom.

The Hellenic Branch of FITCE (www.fitce.gr), known as FITCE Hellas, is one of the most populous and active member associations. Originally, it specifically focused on qualified telecommunications engineers; however, over the years, as the telecommunications market has developed—with the move to competition between network operators and the growing importance of ICT services and technology—the membership since 2000 has widened to include all professional people working in the industry.
