The European Congress on Molecular Spectroscopy (EUCMOS) can be traced back to 1947, when Reinhard Mecke first organized a meeting in Konstanz under the auspices of the informal European Molecular Spectroscopy Group. However, the meeting which has since become regarded as the first EUCMOS was organized by Ernst Miescher in Basel, in 1951. Since then, every two years, an EUCMOS meeting is held in different places in Europe. Scientific excellence makes EUCMOS one of the most important events in the field of Molecular Spectroscopy. This year, the conference is co-organized with the European Meeting on Physical Organic Chemistry (EMPOC).
MAIN TOPICS in 2025
All aspects of spectroscopic methods and techniques (including applications), as well as computational and theoretical approaches for investigating the structure, dynamics, and properties of molecular systems, will be considered during EUCMOS 2025 and EMPOC 2025.
The general session topics include the following:
- Molecular structure, dynamics, and interactions;
- Methods and developments in molecular spectroscopy;
- Biospectroscopy;
- AI, chemometrics, and theory;
- From millihertz to terahertz spectroscopy;
- Applied spectroscopy.
