Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The Guest Editor of the current Special Issue invites submissions of research that focuses on the recent studies concerning fusion research on gender and physical education, to be published in Societies.
Currently, interdisciplinary research is an integral part of the interests of specialists in many fields of research. For instance, physical education is a necessary component of general education, and is prevalent in education curricula, from primary schools to universities, as a result of the beneficial effects of physical activity on individuals in the early stages of growth and development up until adulthood. On the other hand, exercise is beneficial at any age and proposes several advantages: it is a means of obtaining good health; it is a good means of recreation, recovery, and socializing; and it is educational. The social components of physical exercise can be observed, measured, and integrated into training and educational activities. The aspects related to the social integration of individuals who have practiced sports at an advanced level, children in similar age groups, the development of communication skills, or the formation of behaviors in students, which are beneficial to society, are topical issues worldwide.
A particularly important aspect for society is the level of practice of performance sports. Exercising at a more advanced level attracts the attention of media-related factors, large companies that produce special equipment for the sports industry, and the development of technology and equipment for the purpose of monitoring training methods, thus generating a particular impact on local communities and society from an economic point of view.
The current Special Issue invites submissions of contributions that describe and enumerate the connections between the components related to gender and physical education, the interdependence between the two fields of research, or the interdisciplinary nature of the research approaches. Contributions should be submitted in the form of an article, conceptual paper, or review. Manuscript submissions should be first-time submissions (i.e., they should not have a history of being previously published and should not, at present, be considered for publication elsewhere). A double-blind peer review process is undertaken for the examination of manuscripts. The article processing fee (APC) for publication in this open access journal is set by the journal policy.
