Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The representation theory of groups is used to conciliate quantum information in physics and biology at the genome scale. The characters of a relevant finite group may be seen as informationally complete quantum states that map DNA bases onto amino acids (the genetic code). The mixing patterns of matter particles and CP symmetry/violation also rely on the character tables of finite groups.
SL(2,C) representations of a finitely generated group are organized into polynomial sets (the character variety), serving as a framework for models of topological quantum computing, particle physics and quantum gravity or being used for the transcription and regulation of genes.
In this Special Issue, we are interested in papers and essays on the aforementioned topics or those with the potential to establish bridges between quantum theory in physics and biology.
