AI-Empowered Simulations & CAE Applications via Engineering Software 2.0 and 3.0

AESCAPE 2026—AI-Empowered Simulations & CAE Applications via Engineering Software 2.0 and 3.0—brings together researchers, computational scientists and engineers working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and computer-aided engineering. The conference is organised around the evolution of engineering software, from rule-based methods (1.0) and data-driven neural networks (2.0) to the emerging agentic paradigm of Software 3.0, in which mechanistic language models autonomously handle theory development, geometry, meshing and scientific code generation. Its aim is to advance methods that reduce the toil of traditional numerical analysis and make previously intractable multiphysics problems solvable.

The technical program spans AI-enhanced numerical methods, separable neural architectures, tensor decomposition and reduced-order modelling, LLMs and mechanistic language models for CAD/CAE, isogeometric and meshfree methods, trustworthy and explainable AI, and quantum computing—with applications across electronic design automation, additive manufacturing, structural health monitoring, aerospace and automotive design, biomechanics, and digital twins.
