We invite you to submit your latest research to this Special Issue of Mathematics.
High-quality papers are invited on any issues in the theory of the Heun functions and on the applications of the Heun functions in all scientific areas, such as solid-state physics, crystalline materials, helium atoms, water molecules, the Stark effect, graphene, celestial mechanics, quantum mechanics, quantum optics, quantum field theory, atomic and nuclear physics, heavy ion physics, hydrodynamics, atmosphere physics, gravitational physics, astrophysics, cosmology, black holes, compact stars, gravitational waves, biophysics, the genome structure, mathematical chemistry, and economics.
Special attention will be paid to different computational methods and computer packages, such as Maple and Mathematica, for practical calculations with the Heun functions.
