10th Anniversary of JSAN

The year 2022 marks the 10th anniversary of JSAN, a peer-reviewed open-access journal on the science and technology of sensor and actuator networks. JSAN has published more than 350 papers from more than 1000 authors, and more than 1000 reviewers have submitted at least one review report. We value the contributions made by authors and reviewers. To celebrate this 10th anniversary, we are arranging a series of special content and events. We hope you can join us in celebrating this milestone for our journal and enjoy the collection below.

Inaugural volume of the Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks is released and initially published as a quarterly journal.



Founding Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Stefan Fischer

Prof. Dr. Stefan Fischer is a full-time professor of computer science at the University of Lübeck, Germany, and the Director of the Institute for Telematics. He also serves as Vice President of the University, overseeing technology transfer and digitization. He graduated with a diploma degree in information systems and a doctoral degree in computer science from the University of Mannheim, Germany, in 1992 and 1996, respectively.



Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Dr. Dharma P. Agrawal

Prof. Dr. Dharma P. Agrawal was a renowned computer scientist who specialized in wireless networks and communications and computer architecture. From 1998, he served on the Ohio Board of Regents as a distinguished professor of electrical engineering and computing systems at the University of Cincinnati. He frequently published work on wireless sensor networks and ad hoc computing and was one of the editors of the Encyclopedia on Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing in 2009. Professor Agrawal passed away on 15 February 2021.

Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks is indexed in Scopus (Elsevier).



Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks announces the first edition of the Travel Award.



Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks receives its first CiteScore (2.58).



Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks's CiteScore (2019 Scopus data) is 4.2.



Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks's CiteScore (2020 Scopus data) is 6.2.



Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Dr. Lei Shu

Prof. Dr. Lei Shu received a B.S. degree in computer science from South Central University for Nationalities, China, in 2002, an M.S. degree in computer engineering from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, in 2005, and a Ph.D. degree from the Digital Enterprise Research Institute, National University of Ireland, Galway, Ireland, in 2010. Lei Shu is currently a professor with Nanjing Agricultural University, China, and a professor at the University of Lincoln, UK. He is also the Director of the NAU-Lincoln Joint Research Center of Intelligent Engineering.

Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks 2022 Best Paper Award for Anniversary Special Issue



In 2022, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks. Since its launch in 2012, JSAN has published more than 350 papers from more than 1000 authors. In recognition of our authors’ continued support, JSAN is pleased to announce the “JSAN Best Paper Award for Anniversary Special Issue”.
