About International Journal of Thermofluid Science and Technology

Aims

International Journal of Thermofluid Science and Technology (ISSN 2706-9885) is a free-access and peer-reviewed online journal that disseminates information of permanent interest in the areas of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and combustion among researchers and engineers worldwide. It accepts submissions of review articles, research papers, technical notes, invited tutorials, book reviews, and discussions, all of which are subject to rigorous peer review.

Scope

Contributions to this journal may consist of results from theoretical research, fundamental studies, mathematical modeling, numerical simulations, experimental investigations, as well as their applications to a variety of industrial sectors regarding any relevant current and emerging topics, including but not limited to:

1. Heat and mass transfer:
   • Convective, conductive, and radiative heat transfer;
   • Multiphase flow and heat transfer, boiling, and condensation;
   • Supercritical flow and heat transfer;
   • Nano-fluid heat transfer;
   • Microscale and nanoscale heat transfer;
   • Phase change heat transfer, melting, and solidification;

   • Fluid flow in rotating machinery, such as turbines, compressors, and fans.
3. Thermal engineering:
   • Thermal management and thermal environmental control;

   • Power engineering;
   • Thermodynamic cycle and systems;
   • Combustion and reactive flows;
   • Gas turbines.
4. Aerospace:
   • Aircraft environmental control;
   • Icing and anti-/de-icing;

   • Thermal protection for supersonic and hypersonic flight vehicles;
   • Aerodynamics for aircraft;
   • Thermal control and thermal management;
   • Avionics cooling;
   • Thermal-fluid–structure interaction in aircraft;

   • Thermofluids in aero-turbines/compressors/fans.
5. Energy and built environment:
   • Energy production and conversion (engines, vehicles, and power generation);
   • Renewable energy, such as solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, and ocean energy;
   • Hydrogen energy;
   • Nuclear energy;
   • Petroleum and chemical energy;
   • Energy conservation and efficiency;
   • Energy analysis;
   • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning;
   • Energy storage.
6. Other related topics:
   • Topics related to thermofluid science and technology, which are not included in the above five sections.
