International Journal of Orofacial Myology and Myofunctional Therapy Webinar | Celebration of the 50th Anniversary—Paradigm Shifts in Orofacial Myology and Myofunctional Therapy, 25 August 2025

Message from Chair:

I am delighted to welcome you to IJOM’s first webinar, in celebration of 50 years of publishing! The theme of this webinar is “Paradigm Shifts in Orofacial Myology and Myofunctional Therapy”. After a brief history of the journal and a greeting from the International Association of Orofacial Myology President, we will have three featured speakers, each of whom serves as a member of the journal’s Editorial Review Board. They will discuss paradigm shifts in orofacial myology in which they are deeply involved. We hope you find these brief talks informative, stimulating, and inspiring! We welcome your comments and questions after the presentations.

This special event marks a significant milestone for the International Journal of Orofacial Myology and Myofunctional Therapy (IJOM, ISSN: 2694-2526), the official journal of the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM). For five decades, IJOM has been at the forefront of advancing knowledge, research, and clinical practice in orofacial myology.

This event is not only a celebration of the IJOM's legacy but also an opportunity to look ahead—to the continued growth of the journal, the advancement of interdisciplinary collaboration, and the future of orofacial myology worldwide.

For 50 years, the IJOM, in partnership with the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM), has been at the heart of shaping our field, elevating clinical practice, inspiring research, and fostering global collaboration.

What to expect:
