Society Collaboration

Founded in 1997, ASITA is the Federation of Scientific Associations for Territorial and Environmental Information, an umbrella organization that brings together four Italian scientific associations in the field of geomatics: SIFET (Topography and Photogrammetry, Italian representative in ISPRS), AIT (Remote Sensing, associate member of ISPRS), AIC (Cartography, Italian representative in ICA), and AM/FM/GIS Italy (Geographic Information Systems, Italian representative in EUROGI). ASITA serves as a meeting point for researchers, professionals, educators, institutions, and companies, fostering knowledge exchange, multidisciplinary analysis, and integrated development in the surveying, management, and representation of territorial and environmental data.

The association promotes the training of skilled and aware geomatics experts and supports discussion on new technologies, standards, and international frameworks for the processing and communication of geographic information. Through conferences, workshops, and exhibitions, ASITA connects professionals and companies in the sector, providing an up-to-date overview of operational solutions and contributing to the professional and synergic development of the geomatics field in Italy and beyond.
