If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.The Geographies Travel Award was launched in 2025 and is presented annually to encourage junior scientists to present their latest research at academic conferences in the field of geography, helping to enhance their profile. The application period for this award is open from April to December each year, with the winners announced by the end of March the following year.
The Prize:
– CHF 500;
– A certificate;
– A voucher to waive the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for one submission in the journal (subject to peer review)—valid for one year.

Eligibility Criteria:
– Postdoctoral fellows or PhD students;– Plans to attend an international conference in 2026 (oral presentation or poster).
List of Documents for Application
– Information about the conference the applicant is planning to attend and the abstract that will be submitted;
– Curriculum vitae and list of publications;
– Justification letter describing the focus of the research (max. 800 words);
– Letter of recommendation from the applicant’s supervisor, research director, or department head, which also confirms the applicant’s status at the institution in question.
