Section Information
This section of Diseases (ISSN 2079-9721) will provide an open platform for researchers to delve into all aspects of diseases of the gastro-intestinal tract including the liver and pancreas, both in children and in adults. A specific interest of this section will be devoted to original work addressing the complex interaction between nutrition and gastrointestinal diseases, particularly in the area of gluten-related disorders. We encourage submission of original research papers, as well as interesting case-reports, focused on clinical and epidemiological aspects of gastrointestinal diseases. Documents produced by national and international Societies (guidelines, recommendations, etc.) are particularly welcome. The ultimate goal is to provide a platform for all health professionals to share knowledge, providing a better understanding of etiology, prevention, pathogenic mechanisms and clinical aspects, in order to improve the treatment and management of patients suffering from gastroenterological disorders.
