About Bioresources and Bioproducts
Aims
Bioresources and Bioproducts (ISSN 3042-8092) aims to provide a platform for research that promotes the development of a sustainable circular bioeconomy to support improvements in the global environment and public health. We strive to achieve this aim through publishing contributions regarding bioresource identification and transformation into bioproducts, applying strategies such as bioprocessing, biorecycling, upcycling, and valorization, as well as strategies to improve energy and biomanufacturing efficiency. Bioresources and Bioproducts publishes reviews, regular research papers (articles), short communications, and book reviews.
Scope
Bioresources and Bioproducts covers research related to the transformation of renewable bioresources into innovative bioproducts, such as biofuels, biochemicals, biomaterials, bioenergy, and bio-based polymers, as well as associated bioprocesses. Novel processes and applications that enhance the environment, public health, and the bioeconomy through transformation of bioresources into bioproducts are encouraged. Topics related to synthetic biology, artificial intelligence (AI), and cultural perspectives must be related to bioresource transformation into bioproducts to improve the environment, health, and the bioeconomy with consideration of bioethics and negative impacts. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:
- Bioresources;
- Bioproducts;
- Bioenergy and biofuels;
- Environmental protection;
- Public health protection;
- Biological waste treatment;
- Biomass transformation;
- Bioprocessing;
- Bio-based materials;
- Bio-based chemicals;
- Circular bioeconomy;
- Biomanufacturing;
- Bioresidues;
- Biovalorization;
- Synthetic biology;
- Artificial intelligence;
- Cultural perspectives.
