Editor Positions for Behavioral Sciences--Applications Open
Editor position applications are now open for Behavioral Sciences. The type of positions and their responsibilities are as follows:
1 Editorial Board Member
- to provide occasional feedback on the journal scope and performance
- to make decisions or give advice on regular submissions in your field
- to edit a Special Issue on a topic related to your research, and making final decisions for submitted papers;
- to publish one paper per year, free of charge, in the journal.
2 Guest Editor
- shape the topic and compose a short introduction (rationale) of the Special Issue for website announcements;
- solicit contributions or suggest potential contributors;
- pre-check new submissions to ascertain the suitability for the issue;
- make decisions whether to accept or reject a paper after peer review and author revision
3 Topic Editor
- set up at least one Special Issue (SI) over two years in the journal and propose a detailed strategy plan for the SI (including soliciting papers, promoting the SI, etc.);
- promote the journal during conferences (adding 1–2 slides into your presentation, distributing flyers, recommending the journal to your colleagues, etc.);
- provide support for the Special Issues on topics related to your expertise or when the Guest Editor(s) is (are) not available, including SI promotion via social media, pre-checking new submissions, making decisions, and providing advice on some scientific cases, etc.
4 Reviewer Board Member
- We will announce your name on the homepage of this journal as being on the reviewer board;
- Provide your opinion in priority for papers within your expertise;
- MDPI will offer you vouchers (up to 100 CHF each paper) if you provide comprehensive comments. The vouchers you receive can be used for publications in this journal;
- The Behavioral Sciences editorial board will acknowledge your work in an Editorial Paper for all the reviewers;
- RB members may have the opportunity to join the Editorial Board of the journal (subject to the approval of the Editor-in-Chief).
- Partial waivers on the publishing fees will be granted for your first submission in this journal in the first half of 2020.
