Young Investigator Award
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the winner of the Atmosphere 2022 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Jianhuai Ye.
Dr. Jianhuai Ye is an Associate Professor in the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at the Southern University of Science and Technology, China. Dr. Ye’s research interests include UAV-based atmospheric chemical sensing, anthropogenic–biogenic interactions in the formation of atmospheric secondary aerosols, and the environmental and climate impacts of airborne aerosols. Dr. Ye received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in 2017 and worked as a Camille & Henry Dreyfus Postdoctoral Fellow and an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University from 2017 to 2021. He has an outstanding publication record, with over 50 scientific articles in peer-reviewed international journals. Among his first (or co-first) author publications, two were selected as ESI highly cited articles, three were featured as journal highlight/hot articles, three were chosen as journal cover articles, and one was awarded the journal’s best paper of the year. Dr. Ye has demonstrated exceptional achievements in the emissions and fate of atmospheric biogenic volatile organic compounds, and is a rising star in the competitive field of atmospheric chemistry. As the awardee, Dr. Jianhuai Ye will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before 31 December 2023 in Atmosphere after peer review, and an electronic certificate.
