Join Us at “MDPI Open Access—An Author Training Program”, 29 August 2024, Singapore
MDPI, in collaboration with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is holding an author training session to offer valuable insights into the world of open access publishing. This session will provide authors with a comprehensive understanding of MDPI's publishing process, writing skills, AI in publishing and opportunities tailored for different author groups. Field experts will guide the session, ensuring participants gain the knowledge needed to maximize their publishing potential.

Biography |
|
Ms. Yu Nwe Soe, known as Yuna, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical sciences (Honors) from the National University of Singapore in 2019. She then worked for two years as a research officer at the Genome Institute of Singapore, A*STAR. In August 2021, Yuna joined MDPI as an Assistant Editor for the journal Pharmaceuticals. By March 2023, she had advanced to the role of Group Leader, overseeing a team of 10 editors. In May 2023, she became the Office Manager of the MDPI Singapore office. In this role, she is responsible for daily operations, including HR, administration, and finance and collaborates with the Office Editorial Director to manage employee performance. Yuna also actively contributes to marketing and PR initiatives, including scholarly visits, conferences, and regional marketing efforts. |

Dr. Wei Thye Lee earned his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with research on experimental therapeutics in pre-clinical models of neurodegenerative diseases. He has published in many Scopus- and Web of Science (WOS)-indexed journals throughout his academic endeavor. With MDPI, he has served in many editorial roles as Assistant Editor, Publishing Specialist, and Special Issue Editor. He is currently the Institutional Partnership Manager for MDPI liaising with institutions in Asia Pacific (APAC). |

Dr. Colin Wee joined MDPI in October 2021 and acted as the Publishing Specialist for the Social Sciences portfolio of journals. He holds positions as Publishing Manager for multiple journals, Journal Relations Lead, and Scientific Review Board Member. He has a liberal arts undergraduate degree in psychology and neuroscience, graduating with honors from Grinnell College, Iowa. He received his Ph.D. in industrial–organizational psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focus was on vocational interest and psychometrics. He has studied in Singapore, the UK, Japan, and the USA. |
