Metals | Highly Cited Papers from 2024–2025 in the “Corrosion and Protection” Section
The “Corrosion and Protection” Section of Metals (ISSN: 2075-4701) features cutting-edge research on the mechanisms, prevention, and mitigation of corrosion in metallic materials. This Section aims to advance the understanding of corrosion phenomena and the development of innovative protection strategies for metals exposed to harsh environments.
Key areas of interest include corrosion mechanisms, corrosion-resistant materials, surface treatments, coatings, and the use of inhibitors. We also focus on the role of microstructure, alloy composition, and environmental factors in the corrosion behavior of metals, in addition to the integration of advanced diagnostic tools and computational models to predict and prevent corrosion.
We welcome both fundamental and applied research, including experimental studies and theoretical analyses, that address industrial challenges in corrosion management and protection technologies.
