Superconducting magnetic separation technology is based on the zero-resistance and high-field-strength characteristics of superconductors. It achieves efficient material separation by generating a strong magnetic field and has advantages such as high processing efficiency and low energy consumption. This article introduces the principle and development of magnetic separation technology and superconducting magnetic separation technology; analyzes the current development status at home and abroad; discusses its application in mineral beneficiation, coal-fired desulfurization, sewage treatment and other fields; and looks forward to its future development direction. Research shows that superconducting magnetic separation technology has broad application prospects in multiple fields and will develop towards higher magnetic field strength, lower energy consumption and greater intelligence in the future.
