Abstract

NOTE: The Japanese original of this article appeared in the Nippon Dental Review in three installments from December, 1979, to March, 1980. This English version has been prepared for IJOM at the suggestion of Mr. R. H. Barrett, 1978, who taught us much about myofunctional therapy (MFT). In view of space limitation, some historical matter about MFT and the etiological consideration of tongue habits, etc., are purposely omitted.
