1. Conference Overview/Introduction

The International Conference on Advanced Engineering and Technology (ICAET) took place in Incheon, Incheon National University, South Korea from 17 to 19 May 2024. This conference brought together leaders from industry and academia to exchange and share their experiences, present research results, explore collaborations, and to spark new ideas; its aim was to develop new projects and exploit new technology in the field of applied materials and advanced material processing technologies. The committee of the ICAET expresses their sincere thanks to all authors for their high-quality research papers and well-delivered presentations. All reviewers are also thanked for their careful comments and advice. Thanks are finally given to MDPI for producing this volume.

Various efforts are vitally needed for the prevention of and protection from disasters and calamities. Therefore, we understand the necessity for disaster technology, and we set up the Incheon Disaster Prevention Research Center (IDPRC) in Incheon National University (INU) in 1997. Accordingly, the Incheon Disaster Prevention Research Center (IDPRC) in Incheon National University has conducted research on the prevention of disasters and calamities, and has disseminated this research through various seminars, conferences, and lectures. This research has been conducted in cooperation with Incheon National University (INU) in various fields, including structural, soil, hydraulic, and environmental. The Incheon Disaster Prevention Research Center (IDPRC) aims to be a leader in the disaster industry through its various research activities and global conferences.
