Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is well structured and discusses the AI approches for medically assisted procreation. The work could be improved by:

-adding more references about AI in medical applications such as:

https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jbi.2017.04.001

https://doi.org/10.1016/S1386-5056(01)00170-8

https://doi.org/10.3390/info9070176

https://doi.org/10.1371/journal.pone.0211057

-adding more discussion about the matching of the ANN and the analyzed dataset

-Adding more comments in the conclusion section about the ANN training, testing dataset and perspectives of the proposed approach

Reviewer 2 Report

As described in the Introduction section, the paper is addressing a very relevant problem. Although similar work already has been performed by other groups - as rightfully described by the authors - there are some new aspects which certainly qualify the paper for publication. All together, the paper is very well written in all its sections and is of interest for a broad range of readers also from other disciplines.
