Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Thanks to the authors for an interesting article that provides insight into the comprehensive bibliometric analysis was conducted to examine current research on the relationship between Heritage Building Information Modelling (HBIM) and sensor technologies in the field of cultural heritage conservation. There are lots of interesting data, however I think that the conclusions drawn at the end are too banal and do not sufficiently analyze the connection between individual methodologies. For example, semantics and ontology are not correlated with anything and are very important for future research. The mentioned methodologies and sensor techniques are much more intertwined, so the authors should explain the deeper links between them and make much more profound conclusions about the most prosperous methods and techniques to be used in the conservation of cultural heritage.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

A well-written paper introduces  the interesting research work about the bibliometric analysis on the integration of sensors and HBIM.

Two minor issues for the authors to consider:

1. The research context should also cover what others have done in the bibliometric analysis of HBIM and sensors relevant domains.

2. Add more justifications of your keywords choice in the second filtering level.

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

In this paper, a comprehensive bibliometric analysis was conducted to examine current research on the relationship between Heritage Building Information Modeling (HBIM) and sensor technologies. By compiling data from diverse sources (Scopus, WoS), this study has tried to identify not only the most frequently cited authors but also pointed the predominant research groups.

The authors arrive at easily predictable results. Instead, the results related to the analysis of emerging research trends between HBIM and sensor technologies are, in my opinion, most promising. The authors, however, simply report on their findings too succinctly. The research , although very promising, is presented in little depth, especially in analyzing the possible causes of the obtained responses. The commentary on the data derived from the VOSviewer 1.6.19 software still appears immature.
