Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

This manuscript illustrates the influence of processes for thermomechanical material and summarizes the relevant laws. Although there are some details should be modified, the main part is logical and substantial. There are some advises below.

Point 1: In abstract, the full name should be written and the abbreviation in parentheses.

Point 2: In introduction, you said that the influence of processes has been investigated and some other results. However, the importance of it you should exposit clearly.

Point3: For better understanding, recommend adding Figure for describe RIM. (also, about experimental setup)

Point 4: The figure 4(a) has two kinds of curves, while I cannot distinguish them if it for storage modulus or loss factor. Maybe you can put them in two figure or use different legend.

Point5: In 3.4, before saying the picture, you should illustrate how do you process the data and get the image.

Point 6: In conclusion, the influences of mechanical and thermal material properties should be listed accurate with specific data.

Reviewer 2 Report

This paper examines the RIM process parameters on thermomechanical properties of a fast -curing polyurethane (PU). Tensile, DMA and DSC were used to characterize the samples. The results are interesting; however, this article needs a substantial improvement of English. Numerous short and unnecessary sentences make this paper quite boring to read. It is not clear this article has taken from a thesis or not. For example, somewhere it is mentioned “this chapter….”. These mistakes should be totally avoided.

  • What is the crystallinity level of the samples? It should be reported.
  • It is highly recommended to put SEM images, if possible, to observe the effect of processing on morphology of fabricated samples.
  • Authors are advised to report the level of soft and hard segment ratio. The following paper and similar ones need to be cited: “Effect of soft segment molecular weight on the microcellular foaming behavior of TPU using supercritical CO2”. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.supflu.2020.104816.

Without English improvement, I cannot give permission for publication. The following modifications should be considered:

  • Page 2, lines 57 to 59, the sentences should be re-written.
  • The last paragraph of Introduction part, remove the word for the first time….

Reviewer 2 Report

This paper after revision does not provide scientific value to the readers. Therefore, I believe it is not appropriate to be published.
