Text Correction

There was an error in the original publication [1]. The sentence incorrectly read as follows:
“Soranzo’s research on mystical experiences suggests that esoteric encounters—whether religious, symbolic, or technologically induced—share cognitive characteristics that enhance their perceived significance [33].”
A correction has been made to Section 4.4, Paragraph 3.
The corrected version reads as follows:
“Research on mystical experiences indicates that esoteric encounters—whether religious, symbolic, or technologically induced—share cognitive characteristics that contribute to their felt significance, aligning with recent neuroscientific models of brain mechanisms underlying spirituality and mystical phenomena [33].”
There was an error in the original publication [1]. The sentence incorrectly cited one citation. To remove the citation, a correction has been made to Section 1, Paragraph 1.
The corrected paragraph reads as follows:
“The influence of esoteric traditions on the scientific revolution has long been overlooked due to the dominance of Whig historiography, which privileges linear narratives of progress and rationality.”
