Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe peer-reviewed manuscript "Overexpression of wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox) CpCOR413PM1 Enhances Cold and Drought Tolerance in Arabidopsis" devoted to underlying of recombinant CpCOR413PM1 gene from Chimonanthus praecox (L.) Link in response to some abiotic stresses. The research is interesting and relevant, since it has both fundamental and applied significance. The manuscript is extremely well illustrated. However, the article contains a lot of minor inaccuracies. In addition, there are significant shortcomings that require clarification and correction.
Minor remarks:
1. L30. Correction required. Wintersweet(Chimonanthus praecox (L.) Link)is…
2. L33. cold-resistance genes → cold resistance genes. Please unify. The same flower-bud etc.
3. L33. (COR) → (COR). All genes should be written in italics.
4. L 51, 52, 59. stress → stresses
5. L 58. understanding of the role of CpCOR413PM1. Correction required.
6. L 75, 76. was employed. Correction required.
7. L 76. to make cDNAs → For cDNAs synthesis
8. L 85. target gene Cpcor413pm1 → target Cpcor413pm1 gene.
9. L 88, 99. E. coli (italic).
10. L 99. pET32a(+) and pET32a(+)-CpCOR413PM1 → pET32a(+) and pET32a(+)-CpCOR413PM1 plasmids.
11. Amp. Abbreviation is required. Be careful when abbreviations are first mentioned. After the first mention, it is enough to present only the abbreviation, for example, L 206 (Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR)).
12. L 103. OD600 → OD600.
13. L 154. SOD activity was assayed according to the method of Beauchamp and Fridovich. Citation required.
14. L. 171. What do the authors mean by very significant differences?
15. L. 194. CpCOR413PM1 is not italicized because it is a protein.
16. L 350. CpCOR413PM1 → CpCOR413PM1. The same L358-360, 365.
17. L362. Our findingsrevealed. Correction required.
Major remarks:
1. Title: "Overexpression of wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox) CpCOR413PM1 Enhances Cold and Drought Tolerance in Arabidopsis" → "Overexpression of CpCOR413PM1 gene from wintersweet (Chimonanthus praecox (L.) Link) Enhances Cold and Drought Tolerance in Arabidopsis".
2. Add of the author-classifier to the genus and species names plants. In addition, for the first time in the text, the generic name should be presented in full, while further in the text it should be abbreviated.
3. Keywords duplicate phrases in the title. Correction required.
4. There is no description of ABA treatment in the Materials and Methods section.
5. In the Materials and Methods section, how many plants were used in each biological replicate? How many analytical replicates were there for the biochemical assessment?
6. It is not clear on which generation of transgenic plants the comparative assessment was carried out?
7. The authors claim that they performed tissue-specific expression assessment of target gene, as well as GUS staining. However, this is not true. Roots, leaves, flowers, etc. are not tissues, but organs. Therefore, it is correct to talk about organ-specific expression.

Comments and Suggestions for AuthorsThe manuscript is well designed, performed and well written. Some minor corrections are suggested:
Check typos and units, such as mg L-1.
Check the font size in Table 1.
Lines 78-19: were chosen/ was chosen
Describe in more details the genomic DNA extraction, lines 157-158.
Add standard deviation in Figure 5 (A, B, C, D)
