Multi-Gene Phylogenetic Analyses Revealed Five New Species and Two New Records of Distoseptisporales from China
Round 1
Reviewer 1 Report
Dear authors,
Congratulations on your study where you discovered 6 new species!
I've carefully read your manuscript and found some items that need to be edited. All my comments are placed within sticky notes and things that should be deleted are striked-through. Please check all my remarks and provide necessary changes.
These are some of my major remarks:
The paragraph Material and methods should be supplemented with more details,
one figure is missing scale bars,
chapter on phylogentic results should be placed before the chapter Taxonomy,
lack of habitat data (see my comment in the Conclusion).

Reviewer 2 Report
My main conclusion is that the authors should reconstruct their phylogeny including the recently described species of Distoseptispora (D. aqualignicola, D. aquamyces, D. curvularia, D. nonrostrata and D. pachyconidia), which were also isolated from submerged plant debris gathered in China and published by Zhang et al. in this journal (J. Fungi 2022, 8, 1063--doi: 10.3390/ jof8101063). Some of the species described in the present study could very well correspond to those proposed by Zhang et al (2022).

Review of “Multi-gene phylogenetic analyses reveal six new species of Distoseptisporales from China” by Ma et al.
Six new species of Distoseptisporales, A. hyaline, D. aquisubtropica, D. macrospora, D. septata, D. tropica, D. wuzhishanensis and one first record of D. xishuangbannaensis are described using polyphasic approach combining morphological and molecular analyses. The manuscript constitutes a contribution to the knowledge of the order Distoseptisporales. The manuscript is suitable for publication after some minor revision:
I am including some comments here.
1. Please insert author’s name for genus and species.
2. Please provide the geographic coordinates where you collected the samples from.
3. I have checked the rederence [33-36] and I did not find any information regarding rpb2 gene. Please check it again.
4. Table 2 should to show the strains origin and sources.
5. Author should be arranged sections. There are no discussion section in this manuscript.
Detailed comments are also included in the manuscript file attached.

Round 2
Reviewer 2 Report
The authors follow the recommendations of the reviewers, but there are still minor corrections and suggestions to improve the content of the ms. Please, be careful with the name D. macrospora, which should be deleted from all the text. Corrections are provided in the attached file.
