Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The study presents an interesting and timely topic (Systems perspective on paracetamol products shortages: Resilience, adaptability, and challenges amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in Ethiopia.).

Covid-19 and its impact on enterprises are very important for the organisation and for the employer and employee alike.

Based on the above and below mentioned information, it would be worthy and relevant to integrate the parts of the theme referring to this topic, based on the following specialized literature.

The choice of research focus (Systems perspective on paracetamol products shortages) is well justified and straightforward both in the content of this study and in its structure.

Regarding the research results, I suggest a much more detailed discussion of the results and a more detailed interpretation and explanation of the tables that support visualization. The presentation of practical utilization and application of the results would be welcome, too.

The validity range of the research results should be given. Who and under what circumstances do the results apply to?

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The authors have made a reasonable effort, but there are some significant concerns that need to be addressed.

There are several instances of grammatical errors and awkward phrasing throughout the paper that detract from the overall professionalism of the writing. A thorough proofreading is recommended.

The references section appears comprehensive, but ensure that all cited works are relevant and up-to-date

The abstract is not as clear and informative as it should be. It lacks key details like the data source and analytical approach used. A well-structured abstract should precisely state the paper's objective, data, methods, key findings, and any policy implications.

The main contribution and argument of the paper are not well-defined. The authors need to clearly outline the specific research problem they are tackling and explain how their work addresses this problem.

The introduction does not effectively construct the research problem or demonstrate how the authors' approach resolves it.

Many of the results and conclusions presented are quite basic. The authors should expand the introduction, results, and conclusions sections to:

1) Provide a broader review of the relevant literature and state-of-the-art

2) Clarify the novelty and significance of the results, comparing them to prior work and discussing potential applications

3) Include additional, less elementary findings to strengthen the contribution

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

Title: Systems perspective on paracetamol products shortages: Resilience, adaptability, and challenges amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in Ethiopia.

This topic seems interesting and applicable as a real-world case. However, there are some issues to be taken into account for improving the quality of the manuscript before publication. Please find the main comments below:

1. The main findings of the study must be clearly highlighted in the abstract (with the help of statistics).

2. There are some writing errors. The application of uppercase/lowercase letters must be noted; e.g., figure 3 >>> Figure 3. There are also some unneeded blank spaces to be resolved.

3. You should provide more background on Ethiopia’s healthcare supply system to help readers unfamiliar with the region understand the significance of paracetamol shortages.

4. Please explain the participant recruitment process, especially on how they were selected to ensure credibility.

5.  The role of government and stakeholders in overcoming shortages is not discussed well. For instance, provide more examples of interventions that worked well and those that failed.

6. Please consider a consistent format for the figures (in terms of scale, size, sharpness).

7. Please elaborate how your findings align with other studies on pharmaceutical supply chain disruptions globally?

8. In the last section, you need to outline more detailed long-term strategies to prevent similar shortages in future pandemics or crises.

Comments on the Quality of English Language

There are some grammatical errors and complex sentences to be fixed and simplified, respectively.
