Comments and Suggestions for Authors

The submitted study entitled “Useful extracts from coffee by-products: A brief review” addresses coffee by-products as raw materials for producing value-added products within the context of a circular economy. The study provides a valuable literature review on this topic. I suggest minor revisions before accepting the paper for publication:

Line 25: A full stop is missing at the end of the sentence: “Such large amount causes storage and disposal problems”

Introduction section: I suggest that the author consider including a brief section in the introduction about the botanical characteristics of Coffea arabica and other Coffea species (Rubiaceae) as the biological source of coffee seeds.
The clarity of the introductory section would be significantly enhanced if the morphology of the coffee fruit were presented schematically. Additionally, when describing the morphology of the coffee fruit, I recommend using more precise scientific terms instead of commercial and popular terminology. For example, although the term "coffee bean" is widely accepted and commonly used, the more accurate term is "coffee seed."

Figure 2: Explain the meaning of abbreviations to ensure the figure is self-explanatory without needing to refer to the main text.

Line 288: There is a typographical error with an extra parenthesis in the text “Both UAE ((25 kHz with 60% amplitude for 15 min).”

The degree symbol for Celsius is not used consistently throughout the text (various forms appear, including â—¦C, 0C, and °C).

Comments and Suggestions for Authors

If you could include those areas in this paper, that would be great. Health and Safety, Environmental and Economic Analysis; emerging applications, QC and standardization; novel extraction techniques; consumer and market trends.

Consistency in term: like by-products and bioactive compounds should be consistently hyphenated, Some sentences are long in introduction, if you can split that would be more meaningful. missing commas (generated every year) . Citations should be double checked for accuracies.
