This paper evidences the use of Ellagic acid and fermented pomegranate waste (FPW) as corrosion inhibitors for Armco pure iron in HCl solutions. The corrosion measurements are made by the use of several electrochemical techniques and gravimetric analyses while Spectrophotometric analyse are used to characterize.

Page 4, line 155 Eq.3 is not correct
The results of the potentiodynamic polarization tests should be shown in the table.
The results reveal that upon corrosion new compounds are formed onto the exposed areas of the treated samples. (This phrase must be joint with the names and formulas of new compounds which is not attested clearly in the manuscript?)
Put the value of scan rate for potentiodynamic polarization which is not in the text.
The conclusions are presented in a correct and clear way.

In this work authors have carried out the validation of the application of Ellagic Acid from Punica granatum extract in order to clarify and reinforce the data published so far inthis respect. The whole manuscript is well organized and the experiments and results adequately described. Based on that the article reaches the standards to be published in the journal Processes after the following minor changes were amended.
- Line 41: Please reorganize the references as ”[2-5]”.
- Line 137: ”0.2 cm diameter”.
-Uncertainty of slope and intercept of calibrations curves should be included in order to guarantee the reliability of the provide data.

Corrosion inhibition effect induced by ellagic acid and an extract from wastes of fermented pomegranate to corrosion of Armco iron is presented. Polarization curves were recorded in both 0.05 M HCl and 0.05 NaCl solutions, whereas mass loss tests were performed only in 0.05 M HCl. The work is completed by appropriate conclusions. This manuscript is sufficiently novel and interesting to warrant publication.
However, I have some observations and suggestions, as following:
Regarding mass loss tests, I wonder if the 1 h time of immersing in stagnant solution is sufficient for obtaining accurate corrosion rate ? For a sample surface of ca. 8 cm2, this means 1-8 mg losses leading to weighing errors. It must mention the weighing equipment. Have the authors made tests for longer periods of time?
The authors need to shorten the conclusions; as a recommendation, repeating the results and citations of other authors should be avoided.
Also, everywhere in the manuscript, write ‘experiments’ (instead ‘experimentations’); write ‘mL’ instead ml also, write ‘concentration’ of an additive instead of ‘amount’.
