The Processes Editorial Office retracts the article titled “Cucumis melo Enhances Enalapril Mediated Cardioprotection in Rats with Isoprenaline Induced Myocardial Injury” [1], cited above.
Following publication, concerns were brought to the Editorial Office regarding a number of image duplications within this article [1] and with an earlier publication [2] produced by a similar authorship group.
Adhering to our standard procedure, the Editorial Office and Editorial Board conducted an investigation that identified indications of duplication and inappropriate editing within panels contained within Figures 1 and 3, presenting different experimental conditions. Additionally, further image duplications were identified between panels contained within Figures 1 and 3 in [1] and Figure 1 in [2], also presenting different experimental conditions. While the authors collaborated within this process, they were unable to provide raw material of suitable quality for Editorial Board evaluation. As a result, the Editorial Board has lost confidence in the reliability of the findings and has decided to retract this publication [1] as per MDPI’s retraction policy (https://www.mdpi.com/ethics#_bookmark30).
This retraction was approved by the Editor-in-Chief of Processes.
The authors did not agree to this retraction.
