Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper is interesing and very well presented. There are only a coupñe of comments. Maybe I missed the following, but it would be appropriate to specify in general if the dates of measurements by NCMP coincide with the ones you took; also what proportion were done by your team. With respect to Results it´s not correct to say that there was a reduction in BMI Z in the control group.  The strenths and limitations should go at the end of the Discussion . It would be interesting to report the proportion of parents who correctly identified overweight children versus obese children.

Reviewer 2 Report

I find the manuscript entitled „A randomised control trial investigating the efficacy of the 2 MapMe intervention on parental ability to correctly categorise 3 overweight in their child and the impact on child BMI z-score 4 change at 1 year” a valuable and interesting source of knowledge regarding parents ability to assess overweight or obesity of their child and changes after interventions. The study is well designed and the article is written in an understandable and interesting way. Two minor comments are below.

1. Was the level of education of the parents examined, which seems to be an important factor influencing the examined variables?

2. It would be good to point out the differences between intervention groups 1 and 2 in the scope of the applied intervention in Figure no. 1 or in the text. The description of the intervention is extensive and these issues get lost in it.
