Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

The paper presented for this review deals with a very important topic concerning the health of students and their resistance to stress, and hence their productivity in terms of academic performance. The proposed therapy sounds very interesting and promising. The research was conducted in a thoughtful and orderly manner and all stages are well explained. In my opinion this text is valuable and brings new knowledge and gives a new perspective e.g. for university authorities.

The only minor comments are as follows:

The first introductory sentence is a bit unclear – please check the second part of it. The highest what?

In general all paragraphs in the Introduction need more linkages, as reading the text for the first time, you have a feeling that authors jump from one topic to another. In fact, all mentioned issues are very interesting and important for the paper, so my intention is not to reduce them, but link better. In particular it’s visible in the second paragraph of Introduction (lines 32-37) and later on in the last one (lines 67-74 – what is the objective you talk about? the objective of research / paper, etc.).

Line 80 – a dot at the end of the sentence is missing

Reviewer 2 Report

This was an enjoyable article to resd and I congratulate the authors on a thorough and diligent research study which can conribute to the application of DMT and its derivatives in educational settings. Herewith some small suggestions to improve the manuscript. I hope helpful.

P4 line 169 sentence incomplete

Line 179 is a reflective diary a previously employed data collection method? if so please add a reference

Line 183 did participants know their diaries would be collected by the research team? This may have affected their writing if so. Suggest this may be another limitation.

P5 line 215 is Karkou the best reference for this point?

P6 line 267 check English i.e. ’This…’ should read ‘These’

P 14 line 470 surely you refer to the creative arts rather than art per se here?

line 508 this study was not in education but the NHS

P15 line 530 ‘connection to the group’

References need translating into English e.g. p18 line 683

691 Karkou et al - this is in the text brackets as number 68 I believe

The article is adequately referenced- needs more attention, some in list inserted more than once, others lack full journal information
