Round 1

Reviewer 1 Report

Good work that introduces  multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication system with frequency hopping (FH) aided orthogonal frequency division multiplexing differential 2 chaotic shift keying (OFDM-DCSK) modulation

Dear Author(s), the following are my suggestions-

1. Please cite the latest research papers in order to improve manuscript quality.

2. Authors must cite the mathematical equations.

3. The Abstract section can be improve further.

4. Authors must discuss the simulation environment/ parameters.

5. Authors must show the comparative analysis with some more exiting techniques.

6. Conclusion is too large, make it more effective.

1. Frequency hopping is a very classical methodology, which makes me question the novelty of the presented work.

2. There is a lot of research on frequency hopping and OFDM yet the paper has only 18 references in total, I think the authors need to put more relevant work

3. What is the advatange of this modulatiuon technique versus more novel techniques such as OTFS? why should we focus on OFDM?

4. The authors need to stress on the added benefit from a practical persepctive as well as from a theoretical prespective on their modulation technique.

Reviewer 4 Report

The authors proposed the MIMO-FH-OFDM-DCSK scheme to improve the MIMO communication system. The theoretical and simulated BER were provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Overall, this is a well-written paper with detailed mathematical analysis and discussion. Below are my suggestions:

1.     There are minor grammar issues that could be fixed. For example:

a.     Line 31: changing “But” to “However,” can be more appropriate.

b.     Line 33: delete “And”.

c.     Line 48: change “another” to “other”

2.     In the introduction, the authors discussed various methods from previous research to improve the security of the DCSK. After showing the simulation results, it would be very helpful to use a table to benchmark the previous research compared to the proposed MIMO-FH-OFDM-DCSK.

3.     The authors may consider including more explanations about the simulation setup and methods for BER shown in Fig.4 – Fig.6. This could help readers with a broader background.

Thanks for the interesting paper!
