Reviewer 2 Report

The paper focuses on the effect of TiN on CGHAZ microstructure and toughness behaviour in steels.

The topic well fits with the journal mission and can be accepted after some minor revisions will be implemented.

Line 40: please define M/A before using as an acronym.

Line 47: after low carbon equivalent alloy design [8] add some more related references here.

Line 138: Please improve the quality of Figure 3 (may be it is sufficient to enlarge the pictures) to put in evidence what is referred by the arrows.

Figure 4: axis text is not readable, please improve

Round 3

Reviewer 1 Report

Dear authors.

Thanks for your polite and kind response, and thanks for taking into account my suggestions (within the possible).

One last thing: there is a sentence in the abstract (line 18) that should be rewritten to take into account the new comment/interpretation about Fig. 9. The sentence in question is the following "The lower Ti/N ratio significantly inhibited the growth of austenite grains". Like I wrote in my previous reports, such inhibitation was not demonstrated (it would be neccessary to include quantitative data about the grain size, using much more than only one photo by each steel!).

Congratulations for your work.

Kind regards.
