The author and journal retract the article (The Effect of Vacuum Annealing Temperature on the Properties of AlCrTiSiN Coating Prepared by Arc Ion Plating) [1]. Following publication, the author contacted the editorial office regarding incorrect data obtained by the XRD instrument with incorrect status.

The XRD data used to support the article’s conclusions are not appropriate. Adhering to our complaints procedure, an investigation was conducted that confirmed the error and the article is therefore retracted.

This retraction was approved by the Editor in Chief of the journal Coatings.

The author agreed to this retraction.
